Ginger Rogers

Ginger Rogers was born on July 16, 1911 in Independence, Missouri. Before working on Broadway she worked on the vaudeville circuit. Then she hit the big screen and worked in more than 70 movies .She was homered to share screen space with Fred Astaire in movies like Top Hat, Swing Time and The Gay Divorcee, and she won an Oscar for the drama Kitty Foyle. She did stage work as a child in Fort Worth, Texas, where her family was settled .She started work in the Paramount film Young Man Of Manhattan (1930) and she again worked in the same year as an actor and as a singer for the film Broadway in Girl Crazy. She has danced to various song like  "Night and Day" from The Gay Divorcee (1934), "Cheek to Cheek" from Top Hat (1935) and "Let's Face the Music and Dance" from Follow the Fleet (1936).
