Battement Detail

  •  To perform this move, gently rest hand on the barre and stand in fifth position.
  • Next, slide one foot forward, transferring all the body weight to the leg that isbehind. Raising the heel of the foot, point and stretch the leg as far as possible.
  •  Gently, slide the foot onto the side, still maintaining the weight of the body onthe other leg.
  •  Similarly, while putting all the body weight on the other leg, slide the foot tothe back.
  •  To finish the move, return to the fifth position by slowly pulling the foot backinto the original place.
